Behind the name:

I’ve always had a fetish for foreign languages. And even though Elvish isn’t exactly a language - ok fine it’s a make believe language. But that doesn’t stop it from being all the more intriguing. So began the search for the perfect elven name.

Entula : A Reflection

A reflection, I wondered. To reflect. Of course, an insight — a duplication if you will. Your very own feelings, I thought. What better way to express your thoughts and feelings than a reflection of your true being? Needless to say, it was perfect.

… for a while. And then I felt the need to add something else to it. A reflection.. of? A million possibilities. For a while, I toyed with the title “Entula en’ templa” - Elvish for Reflection of Magic. Not very fitting to what I had in mind, but hell, it sounded cool.

Had it not been for Skye’s determination in correlating a phrase or word to a certain theme or idea, I would’ve never felt this insane need to find something suiting. And so I stumbled upon the word desire.

De·sire(v): to wish or long for; want. A craving… to be heard. A reflection of a thought, a want for a reaction. A Desire. Desire. Erised. And in that simple moment, my friends, the decision was made:

Entula en’ Erised: A Reflection of Desire.

I used this name for 2 versions that I felt were suited to it. There after it started to sound awkward, with the word “desire” in there. That’s when I settled for my first selection: Entula En’ - which roughly translates into: A reflection. Every now and then I may add a third word to the site name based on it’s version.
