I had a vision. It was red and orange and yellow and green and blue and purple; a complete rainbow. In Jello!
… but the only flavors I had on hand were pineapple, orange and strawberry, so I figured why not anyway? It’ll be half a rainbow! Yellow, orange and red. So exciting.
I had it all planned out: boil water, mix in Jello mix, wait for it to set and cool before repeating the process over again twice. And it really didn’t take all that long. But when it was finally time for dessert, I realized that I missed something very important…
All that work and the layers didn’t stick.
I was crushed. Saddened. I didn’t even know Jello could behave that way.
*Sigh. So much for my first rainbow… I do like that funny little yellow starfish-like thing though.

Those had me giggling. Food is just one of those things that doesn’t behave the way you want it to.
So true
Wow. These are cute!
And you even call them failed :p
I wonder what will be your masterpieces then…
I wish I could also make desserts like these too at home. T_T
Lol, I called them failed because they didn’t stay together as one jello whole =(
That’s a shame since Jello in all the colours are actually available XD You have pineapple jello? Jealous~ Usually the yellow’s lemon here I think.
The shape’s really cute. I am curious how you would get all the colours to stick like a rainbow though
I was planning on mixing food dye to the Jello if I had more packets. The only other flavors I’ve found were mango and raspberry… lemon too I think.
Mom said I should’ve waited until they were only half set and not completely set to add the next layer. I’m not giving up though, I want my rainbow Jello
wow, it’s been ages i didn’t leave a comment here or talk to you on msn. so aelyn!! how’re you lol? =3
